🚢 Son of a English stone worker, raised poor and looking to go to the new world for a better life. His father is already in the Americas, working hard to bring his wife and son here with him. Young Benjamin has had his ticket paid for to bring him over to work, leaving mother (a mill worker) for the next trip.
🚢 Mother is a mill worker in England, almost always at work and never has time for her son
🚢 Father left when he was 8 and has been working hard for years, also has no time for his son.
🚢 Benjamin has worked at the mill with his mother since he was 8.
🚢 He will be responsible to find a job to help bring his mother to the Americas faster.
🚢 Shy but friendly, hard working.
🚢 Shines shoes for the first class and second class people on the ship to make a bit of coin.
